The festival usually rings in the summer on Randall’s Island – but the 10th anniversary of the Governors Ball will be held in Queens for the first time on Sept. 24-26. Festival officials plan to return it to a June event in 2022.

The Governors Ball Music Festival is on for this fall at Citi Field, headlined by Billie Eilish, A$ap Rocky and Post Malone.
The festival usually rings in the summer on Randall’s Island – but the 10th anniversary of the Governors Ball will be held in Queens for the first time on Sept. 24-26. Festival officials plan to return it to a June event in 2022.

Some items you should know:

  • If the festival is canceled or rescheduled, revelers can either get a refund or roll the ticket over to 2022.
  • The festival's COVID-19 safety measures will follow whatever the health guidelines are in New York City at the time. According to the FAQ, “While we don’t know what may or may not be required come show day (e.g. proof of vaccination, proof of negative test, etc.) rest assured that we are working closely with the City, and we will follow ALL state and federal health guidelines provided.”
  • Tickets go on sale to for everyone on Thursday (currently, only Citi cardmembers can pre-order) - $279 for three-day admission + fees or a one-day ticket for $129 + fees.
