Birthday party turns deadly in Newburgh
A fight at a Newburgh birthday party over the weekend has left one man dead.
Police say 29-year-old Eddie Gordon was beaten to death with a baseball bat by 25-year-old Rodney Bethea after a fight at the party early Sunday morning.
Once police arrived, they say they found Gordon lying on the driveway, bleeding profusely. He later died from his injuries.
Police took Bethea into custody, who has been charged with murder.
