Orange County firefighters responded to a fire that broke out at the Pharmline Chemical Company in the Village of Florida this morning.
Fire officials say the blaze started around 8 a.m. Fire companies from numerous surrounding towns responded to the three-alarm blaze.
"When we arrived on scene we found a couple industrial ovens on fire ... we had massive amounts of smoke in the building," Chief Joseph Bankston, of the Florida Fire Department says.
Pharmline is a supplier and manufacturer of nutritional ingredients and fine chemicals. The company specializes in providing services to the dietary supplements and food and beverage industries.
A message on the company answering service said Pharmline was closed Friday for the Labor Day weekend and not scheduled to reopen until Tuesday.
