Blooming Grove highway worker seriously injured during tree removal

Supervisor Robert Jerolomon says the worker suffered several broken bones and was rushed to the hospital.

A Town of Blooming Grove Highway Department employee was hit by a tree he was cutting down while at work and hospitalized, according to officials.
The accident happened Tuesday during work to replace a culvert pipe on Museum Village Road.
Supervisor Robert Jerolomon says the worker suffered several broken bones and was rushed to the hospital.
Jerolomon says the employee is expected to recover. He says the town and state Bureau of Public Employee Safety and Health are investigating.
