One of Westchester's longest serving charities benefitting after-school care is gearing up for a star-studded event this week.

The Boys and Girls Club of Mount Vernon is staging its virtual gala Wednesday night honoring The View host Sunny Hostin, along with NY Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Lowes Moore. 

The group says both honorees have inspired the career goals of countless young students across the city.

The gala is their biggest fundraiser of the year.

The Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon offers after-school programs for more than 1,400 kids every year.
