News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says the Hudson Valley will see sunny skies for Sunday before some scattered showers in the evening.
NOW: Cool, breezy and cloudy for the lower Hudson Valley. Cloud cover will clear tonight and bring a bit of a chilly night for many as temperatures fall to the upper-40s.
NEXT: Warming up a bit to the mid- upper-70s on Sunday. Clouds will build in the afternoon with rain showers following. The showers will continue into Monday and could bring heavy rainfall to some areas with a possible thunderstorm. After this system passes, slightly cooler temperatures and more sunshine for the rest of the week.
FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Clouds will increase with breezy conditions. Low temperatures will be in the upper-50s.
SUNDAY: Sunshine early with clouds increasing in the afternoon and scattered showers likely in the evening hours. High temperatures in the upper-70s.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Scattered rain showers and possible thunderstorms for some areas under mostly cloudy skies. Low temperatures in the low-60s.
MONDAY: Scattered rain showers throughout the day before tapering off Monday night. High temperatures in the mid- to low-70s. Low temperatures in the upper-50s.
TUESDAY: Sunshine and high thin clouds. High temperatures in the mid-70s. Low temperatures in the mid-50s.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and seasonable. High temperatures in the mid-70s. Low temperatures in the upper-50s.
THURSDAY: Sunshine and high thin clouds. High temperatures in the mid-70s. Low temperatures in the upper-50s.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and comfortable. High temperatures in the low-70s. Low temperatures in the upper-50s.
