A Bronx-born high school basketball coach is being honored as a living legend for his winning work on the court.
The Basketball Hall of Fame has named Jack Curran, 75, this year's recipient of the Morgan Wootten Award. Curran has coached Queen's Archbishop Molloy team for 49 seasons, won five Catholic League titles and racked up 875 wins in his career. Curran also coached future NBA stars Kenny Smith and Kenny Anderson. The coach will receive his award this May in Louisville.
Curran says he's honored to be presented with an award that is attached to Wootten.
