yesterdayA Bronx couple has been indicted for their involvement in an armed home invasion and assault of a woman in Yorktown.
The Westchester District Attorney's Office has announced that Darling Read, 35, and Jovanda Paredes, 29, are facing charges that include burglary, robbery, criminal use of a firearm, and assault.
The incident took place last March at a residence where Read's ex-girlfriend was staying.
According to the district attorney's office, the victim suffered multiple kicks and punches to the head and was struck with a hard object.
The two suspects were apprehended in the Bronx within hours of the incident.
