A Bronx man is being charged with a misdemeanor for allegedly leaving a dog tied to a pole in Putnam County.
The Putnam County Deputy Sheriff found the dog while on patrol and called the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
They brought the 7-year-old hound mix to their facility, where it was scanned for a microchip.
An investigation began after surveillance video was retrieved.
Juan Rosa, 36, turned himself in after being contacted about the dog.
He faces up to one year in jail, a fine up to $1,000 or a combination of both.
