A Bronx man has been sentenced to 25 years to life for the murder of his former roommate in Yonkers.
According to the Westchester District Attorney's Office, William Pryor, 23, was sentenced in county court on Friday.
He was convicted in the March 2022 murder of 29-year-old Marquis Muniz. Muniz was fatally shot in his Riverdale apartment.
One month before the murder, Muniz evicted Pryor from his apartment after two years of living there rent-free. Pryor was seen leaving the building with a black garbage bag. That bag was then found at Pryor's mother's house in the Bronx with gunshot residue on it. Pryor was arrested three months later in Montrose.
Muniz's fianceé, who found his body in his apartment, told the court her life was forever changed by Pryor's hateful, envious actions.
