An organization in the Bronx is helping underprivileged residents get back on their feet.
Cultural Renaissance for Economic Revitalization (CRER) teaches residents how to be financially responsible and how to start their own business. CRER?s founder says residents learn to utilize basic banking services, eventually establish a credit history and then apply for small loans.
One Bronx resident says CRER helped him after being in the prison system. Alexis Seda says the free services of CRER taught him how to manage the money he makes through the construction company he started.
