Some Bronx residents claim they have been wrongfully issued tickets by the Department of Sanitation for violations they did not commit.
People who live on Manor Avenue and in the surrounding area say the department fined them for failing to post recycling signs in a public place. Some say, however, they found the tickets tucked behind the actual recycling signs.
?Everybody here has their signs posted, so what exactly is it they want from us?? resident Louie Rodriguez wonders.
Neighbors say that after the ticketing incident, they have begun photographing their properties and having the photos notarized in case they too are issued summonses.
A spokesperson for the DOS says if residents feel they were issued false violations, they can send in statements or contact the Environmental Controls Department.
