While something may seem like a small problem to some Bronx teachers and school workers, the Department of Education says it wants to know about any and all incidents involving students.
According to a Daily News report, Schools Chancellor Joel Klein says reporting all problems and crimes will keep Bronx students safer. By reporting all incidents, the city will be able to better track which schools have problems and what kind of problems they are. Klein adds the Department of Education will be able to better target its resources if all incidents are reported.
The teachers? union president says Klein?s initiative in getting schools to report incidents is an effective one. She says she would like to see schools crack down on even the smallest offenses.
