The Bronx is enjoying a live music revival thanks to a burgeoning rock event for teens.
For the past six years, Bronx Underground founders have been hosting live bands in the basement of the First Lutheran Church. They say a church is as good a place as any for concerts. The concerts take place twice a month and tickets cost up to $8.
According to founders Dave Rose and Anita Colby, they provide teens with a safe place to be themselves without the pressure of drugs or alcohol. Rose and Colby say the events draw teens from as far away as the suburbs around the city.
