Bronx voters turned out early Tuesday to vote in the presidential primary elections, but some Co-op City residents have reported problems with voting machines.
Lillie Wilkinson showed up at her polling place at the Dreiser Loop Community Center at 6:15 a.m. only to be told that the voting machine for the 104th Election District wasn?t working. Wilkinson had to fill out a paper ballot and place it in a ballot box. Poll workers said that any paper ballots will be counted tonight, after the polls close at 9 p.m.
Poll workers report seeing a higher than average turnover and are bracing for a hectic day.
