The businesses destroyed in Wednesday?s three-alarm fire are set to be demolished in two to three days, neighbors say.
The stores included a Laundromat, dry cleaners and pet shop that residents say they have been coming to for years and will miss dearly.
?These are neighborhood stores,? Kirk Holland, who lives nearby, says. ?It?s hard to see them all go up in smoke like that.?
The fire ravaged the buildings beyond repair, forcing the land owner to schedule a demolition of the remaining structure. Though there are some stores close by that residents of the area can use as substitutions, many say they hope the businesses will look for rental space in the neighborhood.
