A northern Westchester business owner is offering to help a Mount Vernon youth football program that was robbed of thousands of dollars' worth of equipment.

Shane Walsh saw News 12's story last Friday and wants to make sure the Mount Vernon Razorbacks hit the field on time this season.

Earlier this month, someone broke into the Razorback's trailer and took most of their equipment -- putting the start of its season in jeopardy.

Walsh owns a custom printing and sports store called Posh Styles in the Jefferson Valley Mall. He says he can donate some gear and sell – at no profit to him – the jerseys, helmets and pads to the football program.

"They want to get off the streets, they want to have fun, they want to be a team, and the fact is that's all they got. I mean, how dare you do something like that. And it just hit hard for me," says Walsh

A GoFundMe to repair and replace everything has raised more than $5,600.
