Businesses from Westchester County and around the country have reached out to an Ossining teen who has been repairing old computers and giving them to people in need during COVID-19.
News 12 recently featured 15-year-old Sam Nadol, who received a grant from his high school that covered the cost of buying parts and accessories he needs to refurbish the computers and give them a second chance for the people needing another chance. He does this service for free.
Nadol has helped several dozen people, including a grandparent who didn't have a computer but wanted to Zoom with his grandchildren, a high school student whose computer had broken down and needed one for remote learning and an unemployed New Yorker who needed a computer to apply for jobs.
Nadol has changed all their lives, and now people are doing their part to help him continue.
Just days after News 12's story aired, Nadol's mother sent an email saying that 30 people and businesses had already reached out in the Westchester community and around the country to offer him their old computers.
Nadol plans to donate these computers to help an organization that assists kids in Westchester County.
