Catholic schools throughout the city are back in session as Wednesday marked the kickoff of a new school year.
At least one Bronx catholic school administrator has high hopes for the 2007-2008 school year despite a personnel change behind the scenes. St. Jerome's School Principal Rocco Martz predicts the borough's catholic schools will not be affected by the addition of a new superintendent.
"We all have the same vision," says Martz.
The principal adds the archdiocese has a tradition of educational excellence that transcends the years.
Cardinal Scholarship funds are still available for students unable to afford catholic school, according to Martz.
