Bronx and city kids will take the stand Tuesday to testify for more money for youth service programs.
After months of fighting for more funds for youth programs, Bronx kids will have their voices heard by the City Council. The kids will testify about the importance of youth service programs and why they believe Mayor Bloomberg (R-NY) should allocate more funds to them in next year?s budget.
According to youth programs advocates, Bloomberg has cut millions of dollars out of the budget for the services. Advocates add that if kids don?t have the programs, they are more likely to fall into the wrong crowd.
