(11/12/06) QUEENS - Family and friends of the victims of Flight 587 remembered their loved ones on the fifth anniversary of the tragic crash in Queens.
Dozens gathered at a new memorial to commemorate the 265 people who died when the American Airlines flight crashed shortly after takeoff from John F. Kennedy International Airport. Family and friends read the names of all the victims at the memorial just 15 blocks from the crash site.
All but five of those killed were on board the Dominican Republic-bound flight.
