Bronx basketball players hit the court in the first annual Monroe Campus Classic in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Lehman and Walton kicked off the six-team tournament. Lehman's Mohammed Ali was the star, helping put the Lions up 32-19 at one point. Walton's Brandon Martin scored eight points to help his team regroup. But Ali was on a roll, pushing his team to a 64-37 win.
Monroe High School Head Coach Nigel Thompson helped organize the event, which he says is meant to foster good sportsmanship.
