14ds agoTime is running out for musicians who want to perform at a prominent event in Westchester this summer.
The Pleasantville Music Festival is hosting its annual Battle of the Bands competition, and the deadline for applications is this Friday at midnight.
Last year's competition saw Hunter Road, among three winners, taking the stage at the 2023 Pleasantville Music Festival.
Bruce Figler, the executive director of the festival, emphasizes the unique opportunity this competition offers to young artists. "So the three winners really get to run with this a bit. They can put it on their website, they can brag about it, and lots of times they get gigs out of it. Two years ago, the band Platinum Moon, they're now playing all over the place. And part of it is how they impressed so many people back in 2022."
The first Battle of the Bands is scheduled for April 21 at Lucy's Garage in Pleasantville. Musicians interested in applying can visit the Pleasantville Music Festival's Battle of the Bands page for more information and to submit their applications.
