A Canadian man is indicted in connection with a 2020 crash that killed three people on I-87 in the town of Ulster.

Luc LeBlanc was allegedly driving a tractor-trailer erratically when he crashed, killing a 47-year-old mother, a 14-year-old, and a 10-year-old, according to the district attorney.

LeBlanc was operating a 44,000 pound tractor-trailer on I-87 in the town of Ulster when he swerved numerous times, failed to reduce speed as traffic slowed and caused the crash – that was captured on his dash cam, according to a press release from the district attorney.

LeBlanc was arrested on a warrant by Canadian authorities in 2023 and fought extradition back to the United States to face these charges. After being released on bail in Canada, he surrendered himself to authorities last month and has been in jail in Montreal since then.

He was arraigned last week in Ulster County Court.

LeBlanc is charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.
