The Carmel community gathered Sunday for a Police Prayer Walk to pay tribute to law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
The event honored Detective John Falcone, a Poughkeepsie detective who died saving a 3-year-old from an armed man in 2011.
Residents showed their support by waving flags, creating posters and spinning blue pinwheels.
