One of Orange
County’s biggest attractions is now up for sale.
Castle Fun Center in Chester has been shut down since March due to the
statewide COVID-19 closures.
Owner Brian Leentjes says the entertainment complex has lost
millions since the pandemic began.
With no word from the state regarding entertainment complexes and arcades reopening,
Leentjes says he’s being forced to explore “other options.”
“Twenty-eight
years of paying taxes, putting money back into the facility, employing
hundreds, thousands of people over the years and they all feel the same way -
why aren’t we open?” questions
Leentjes.
News 12 is told
several potential buyers have already reached out since listing the business
and property for sale.
