Catholic school teachers across Westchester say they are set to stage a sickout this week. Some 400 teachers have been working without a contract since last August. They say they are fed up with stalled contract negotiations between teachers and the Archdiocese of New York. The main sticking point seems to be salary increases. The teachers say they are being paid far less than their peers at other private and public schools and not enough to live and support their families. In addition to the sick out, officials from the Lay Faculty Association say their members are prepared to stay home from work during the papal visit in mid-April.A spokesman for the archdiocese told News 12 that they weren't aware of the latest walkout threat.
