Various free programs at the New Rochelle Public Library will celebrate Black History Month throughout February.
They begin Wednesday when author Ted Reinstein tells stories of the heroes who found segregation in baseball from his book, “Before Brooklyn: The Unsung Heroes Who Helped Break Baseball’s Color Barrier.”
The programs are being made possible “with support from the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library and the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District,” according to the library.
