Central Hudson is developing a new rate plan that would raise monthly bills for most customers while lowering them for others.

The utility says the 3-year agreement balances essential investments with lower costs.

Under the proposal, electric bills would increase by about 4.2%. Gas customers would see a 5.2% increase.

Customers enrolled in the Home Energy Assistance Program would see their rates decrease by 4.2%.
