Children, young adults at Elizabeth Seton Children's Center receive Pfizer vaccine

Officials at Elizabeth Seton say they are fortunate that since the beginning of the pandemic last March, not one child or young adult has contracted coronavirus.

Some of the most vulnerable people in Westchester got vaccinated on Monday.
Children and young adults at Elizabeth Seton Children's Center in Yonkers received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
Recipient Stephaine Gabaud, who was born with spina bifida, says she has been looking forward to getting vaccinated against COVID-19. She even dressed in her favorite color and had balloons from her favorite superhero attached to her wheelchair during the process.
She was one of 30 children and young adults who got the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine at the center.
Officials at Elizabeth Seton say they are fortunate that since the beginning of the pandemic last March, not one child or young adult has contracted coronavirus.
They say they are hopeful the vaccine will give eligible residents some added protection.
More than 120 staff members at Elisabeth Seton also received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine Monday.
