News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says it will be breezy and cold Saturday with wind chills in the 20s.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
-Some of the coldest weather of the season so far arrives to kick off the weekend with daytimes highs only in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees. That's about 10 degrees below normal.
-Most of the weekend is dry with the next chance of rain arriving after 5 p.m. Sunday. Expect showers overnight ending Monday morning.
-Temperatures for much of next week will be on the chilly side with a nice sunny stretch.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear, cold, and breezy. Lows in the 20s with northwest winds 10 to 20 mph.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and cold. Breezy at times. Highs in the upper 30s to near 40 with northwest winds 5 to 15 mph. Wind chills in the 20s.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear with less wind. Cold with lows in the 20s. Light southwest wind.
SUNDAY: Morning sunshine gives way to increasing clouds. Chance for rain showers after 5pm into Sunday evening. Highs near 50 degrees. Cloudy with showers at night and lows in the 40s.
MONDAY: Showers end in the morning with partly sunny skies. Not as cold with highs near 50. Lows near 30.
TUESDAY: Partly sunny and breezy. Colder with highs in the low 40s. Lows in the upper 20s.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and chilly with highs in the lows 40s. Lows in the mid to upper 20s
