Hundreds of hungry Bronx residents were welcomed with open arms to a church?s annual, free Christmas dinner.
Edgar Gonzalez says he?s thankful to eat at Our Lady of Refuge every year where he enjoys good company and good food. An organization called POTS sponsored the event. Volunteers from Resurrection Catholic Church in Rye donated, prepared and served food to about 500 people.Many of the volunteers included young people who say Christmas is about giving back to the community, not getting an iPod.
