The City Council?s operating budget for fiscal year 2007 was passed unanimously by its members Wednesday.
The more than $50 million budget is a 2.5 percent increase from the previous year. Part of the money will go to start ?Council-Stat,? a program to analyze and respond to residents? issues. The money will also help overhaul the Council?s computer system and cover rent increases for Council offices.
Council Speaker Christine Quinn says the Council is committed to sticking to the budget.
