The 2014 swimming season has officially begun throughout the five boroughs.
All 55 outdoor city pools have opened to the public, and will remain open until Labor Day. Residents can dive in, free of charge, seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., then 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation will also be offering free swimming programs for all ages.
