One of the 10 people gunned down in the Colorado supermarket mass shooting this week had ties to the Hudson Valley.
Suzanne Fountain, 59, was killed this week during the mass shooting at the King Soopers Supermarket in Boulder.
Fountain grew up in Clinton Corners. She graduated from Millbrook High School, continued her education at St. Rose and moved to Colorado a few decades ago.
She worked there as a Medicare agent, helping countless people navigate the system.
Her brother David tells News 12 she had a great love of the theater.
"All about the theater...She was a great actress...and if you want to honor her, go to the theater," he says.
She even found a venue in Colorado called eTown where she was the house manager.
Nick Forster, of eTown, says they will be honoring Fountain at an event this weekend.
The Fountain family says they're planning on holding services in Colorado and in the Hudson Valley sometime in the near future.
Fountain leaves behind a partner named Phi and a son named Nate.
