DMX's legacy inspired a generation of children in Yonkers.
At the community center that gave the rapper refuge as a kid, the children mourned the death of DMX.
The rapper gave back to the Nepperhan Community Center in Yonkers by sponsoring events, donating tens of thousands of dollars and giving out Thanksgiving meals.
His presence at the community center has inspired many of the boys and girls to want to pursue a music career.
