A meeting between Mount Pleasant Town Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi, the police chief and state officials took place last week to address the ongoing concerns surrounding the JCCA Children's Residential Treatment Center in Pleasantville.
Fulgenzi described the meeting with the state as "very productive." In the wake of ongoing dangerous conditions on the center's campus, town officials and others have been urging for the facility's closure.
The Office of Children and Family Services officials confirmed that a follow-up meeting will be scheduled. During this meeting, objectives and recommendations will be outlined to address the existing issues at the center.
