The Stadium Racquet Club is closing sooner than expected because of the new Yankee Stadium.A report in the Daily News claims the club got a letter from the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation that it must shut down by February 27. Originally, the club's contract ran through April 27. The racquet club is right next to Yankee Stadium and the area will be used for parking vehicles and equipment during construction.Michael Del Prete, who runs the concession at the club, says he now has to find patrons court time at another facility or give them money back.
