Some Castle Hill drivers have two options: park on their property and get blocked in, or park on another block.
For more than a year, the city has been replacing an old gas line and a water main, filling potholes and repairing cracked sidewalks on Turnbull Avenue.
Last week, crews blocked off the entire street, forcing more than 24 households to park elsewhere if they want to use their vehicles.
Besides worrying about whether their cars will be safe on another street, others are concerned about their health. "If somebody gets sick, how's the ambulance going to get here?" says homeowner Alfred Pizarro.
Some residents say they're willing to endure the inconvenience now to make their neighborhood better.
Workers say they will finish repaving the street by next week, rain or shine.
