Cops: Father of seven killed in apparent botched robbery

Police are investigating the murder of a father of seven in Newburgh in what they say appears to be a botched robbery. Officers responded to the area of First and Grand streets just after 12:15 a.m.

Police are investigating the murder of a father of seven in Newburgh in what they say appears to be a botched robbery.
Officers responded to the area of First and Grand streets just after 12:15 a.m. today on reports of shots being fired.
They say they discovered Jeffery Henry lying unresponsive on the ground near 45 Lander St. He was rushed to Saint Luke's Hospital, but later died from his injuries.
Investigators say they determined that Henry was shot at 54 Chambers St., just around the corner from where he was found.
