Police are offering free training to help Bronx and city bodega workers survive robberies and spot suspicious people.
The Bodega Association president says cops will also train employees ways to prevent theft. The association says many storeowners put up large fliers to advertise items, but the fliers also block their view. The president says robbers can operate without witnesses seeing them. The organization also wants district attorneys to be more aggressive in prosecuting bodega robberies and deaths.
The free training is available to anyone who registers. The number is 212-928-0252.
