Meet Tony Ambrosino – the security officer at Cornwall Central Middle School who went above and beyond to find a fifth grader’s lost earrings.
Ambrosino sifted through the garbage to find them after she accidentally left them on her lunch tray and threw them out. The student said the earrings belonged to her recently deceased grandmother.
The security officer sprang into action and eventually found the prized possession.
Ambrosino, also a graduate from Cornwall Central, is a retired NYPD detective who has worked at the school for the past eight years. He is also a volunteer firefighter.
He told News 12 that he would do anything for the kids and his community.
