There are only 12 short weeks to make the best summer memories. Whether you are jet-setting or road-tripping, you will never forget your favorite family vacation.
Marshal Cohen is the chief retail analyst at Circana and is helping us map out our next adventure.
“You can go certainly up to the mountains, either north or west. You can even go to some beaches all around the area,” he said.
If you are counting on your car to get you there, Cohen says you are in luck. Gas prices are holding relatively steady at around $3.11 for a gallon of regular.
According to Cohen, air travel is also flying in our favor with prices down around 10% in the off-holiday periods.
Cohen says the key to savings is flexibility and research as outside the historically busy summer weekends, many locations offer deals and discounts on things like water or adventure parks. A great budget can make for easy travels whether you’re embarking on an annual tradition or the start of a new one.
