A councilman is warning Bronx and other homeowners to beware a company selling deeds for high prices.
Diane Marks received a letter from FastDeeds.com asking her if she wanted to purchase a copy of the deed for her Bronx home for $90. Marks said she's glad she consulted someone before paying up."The reality is, they can get a copy of their deed for $5 through the city of New York," Councilman James Vacca said.Residents can go to Bronx County Clerks Office to obtain the information.
