A confirmed case of the coronavirus variant originally discovered in the UK has been found in Dutchess County, according to County Executive Marc Molinaro.

Molinaro confirms that a resident has tested positive for the variant.

He says it is expected as confirmed cases are detected in neighboring counties.

Molinaro says that this highlights the need for residents to get vaccinated.
