After days of having odorous and discolored tap water, Stony Point residents can trust their faucets again.
United Water says demand has been high due to the heat wave and that reserve reservoirs had to be tapped into. According to United Water officials, opening up the reservoirs stirred up minerals that led to the discoloration.
The county?s health department says it is monitoring the water supply in Stony Point and it is not a health hazard.
