Village of Croton-on-Hudson police say a man has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident earlier this month.
They say a 27-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was driving a Hyundai Elantra on Route 9 South when he crashed into Richard Lent, 34, who was operating a motorcycle. Lent was pronounced dead at the scene.
While investigating, detectives recovered pieces of what appeared to be a sideview mirror from an unknown vehicle that may have been involved. Two days later, they identified the vehicle and arrested the driver. The driver was arraigned in village court and his bail is set at $5,000.
