A Connecticut landscaping company is facing fines of nearly $65,000 stemming from a fatal trench collapse last May in Mamaroneck Village.
OSHA formally cited Mickles Landscape of Darien for the death of a worker who had been trapped under dirt when a trench collapsed at a home on Shore Acres Drive.
That man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The company was cited for several serious violations, including not protecting employees from cave-ins or against the hazards posed by water accumulation.
