The Rockland County district attorney says cocaine was being sold from the back room of a Haverstraw bar.
Police say 33-year-old John Nieves, 25-year-old Elliot Natal and Kenji Eurie sold drugs out of Cayey?s Place. The three men are charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance. Michael Nieves, 33, and Julio Ortiz, 34, both former managers of the bar, are also facing criminal charges for knowingly allowing the drug activity to take place.
The State Liquor Authority has suspended the license of the bar and police say they are glad to remove the public nuisance aspect of the drug activity. The five men are due in court in January.
