A Yonkers man has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for the fatal stabbing of a Main Street clothing store owner, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
Ruben Martinez Campos, 47, was stabbed by 24-year-old Tyrese Shubrick in April 2021.
Authorities say Campos had been threatened by Shubrick with a knife at his store before taking a hat.
When confronted by the victim outside, Shubrick used a knife to stab the victim twice in his chest.
Shubrick was arrested two days later at Elmsford Village Court, where he was appearing on another case.
The knife was never recovered.
